Alternative Home Energy & Maintenance is the company I used to install a 24kW generator after vetting no less than 10 other contractors. I was immediately impressed by the owner Mr. Jarrod Watson and his knowledge in this field. I have an existing solar system in place that backfeeds the grid. He came to my home and carefully explained the installation process and assured me of the proper technical and legal way the Generac needed to be installed(*Very important-others did not*). I was given a timeline that was met ahead of schedule and city inspections proceeded without a hitch(Also noteworthy). AHEM was not the cheapest or most expensive quote I received and in my option having a confident qualified team handling this type of installation is more important than splitting hairs over cost. Although, apples-to-apples, Jarrod's quote was the best. Peace of mind is not a line item on a quote. And finally, I would be remiss if I did not mention his team of Electricians by name. Zach and Andrew are two of the most professional qualified tradesman who have ever entered my home in over 25yrs of ownership. After a bombardment of questions, "what-ifs" and peering eyes, I feel even more confident that I made the correct decision . These young men are a rare breed in today's contracting world-the very definition of professional, humble and proud. Be weary of others with unpermitted work and taillight warranties!
